Sundial Pedestal

You walk to the centre of the town, and find an old sundial. The sun has set, but you can still make out some detail. It has a bizarre pattern and what looks like a slot.

The dial also shows the current time in Blackdale:

This could be for a quest!! Go have a look, you never know...
